Abrasion resistant cast irons are also referred to as wear resistant cast irons, high chromium alloys, white cast irons and Ni-hard cast irons. Abrasion resistant cast irons have been alloyed to secure high resistance to abrasive wear in the applications of the mining, milling, earth-handling and manufacturing industries.
Magsen Foundry are able to supply finished size and fully machined abrasion ressistant castings.
Many people think high chrome white iron can not be machined, but in Magsen Foundry, CBN tools have been successfully used to machine hardened high chrome white irons for many years. High chrome white iron can also be softened for drilling and tapping, and then it will be hardened to 56HRC minimum.
